With the community’s generous support, SVDP of Brown County has been blessed to provide a Christmas Shop experience for hundreds of local families each year for many years.
Last year more than 500 children benefited. With the growing number of neighbors who we serve, SVDP is transitioning to this new model to enable us to continue to bless local families at Christmas.

The seasonal "Little Store" (Thrift Store) that was located next to the IGA Grocery in Nashville has moved to our main location at 2901 Long Lake Road (see map on our About page). Our Home Goods building now houses the Little Store items and everything is FREE.
Many thanks to our Brown County IGA for having allowed us to operate the Little Store on their property and for their continuing support to our community.
Everything is free and all of the pantry & warehouse workers are volunteers.
Those coming for food do their shopping using a grocery cart. Posted signs and volunteers help shoppers know what choices they have.
Volunteers can always help with the shopping, boxing / bagging groceries, and getting items to your vehicle.
Clothing, shoes and accessories are available in the back (east) end of the Main building.
Furniture, appliances, housewares, bedding, sheets, towels, toys and books are located in our Home Goods building (green roof).
Outside items on the front and side porches may also be available.
See our Finding Food page.
The Brown County Democrat Newspaper publishes the annual Connections Magazine which lists the many organizations, public and private, that provide services in our county.
Indiana 211 is a free and confidential service that helps Hoosiers across Indiana find the local resources they need. Dial 2-1-1 or 866-211-9966 to speak to someone. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their internet site is here.
Saint Vincent de Paul (Brown County, Indiana) is an ALL volunteer organization. 100% of the donations we receive are used for operating our Pantry/Warehouse and providing food, clothing, housewares, furniture, appliances and utility assistance to our neighbors and friends in this community.
Thanks to Pastor Jon and The Church of the Lakes for their generous monthly food donations (and more) to share with our neighbors.
Thanks to the students of the St Agnes Catholic Church Vacation Bible School, who donated bags of food to distribute at our pantry.
Thanks to Albert & Carol Drake for requesting food donations as part of their jewelry store's annual spring sale.
