St. Vincent de Paul (Brown County) is an all volunteer not-for-profit, dedicated to the service of local families since 1988. We were started by members of Saint Agnes Catholic Church as a conference under the Indianapolis Council of SVdP, a 501(c)(3) organization. During our 2020 fiscal year at least 97 volunteers, from Brown County and beyond, gave a combined total of more than 8000 hours of service.
We distribute food in our "Client Choice Food Pantry" and also toiletries, clothing, housewares, appliances and furniture free of charge.
At pop-up pantries, folks drive up and receive prepackaged food items, quick and easy.
Our Back to School Program helps students prepare for the school year by giving out vouchers to purchase shoes and school supplies. We distribute Thanksgiving turkeys and Christmas hams. The Christmas Celebration helps with Christmas gifts for children and grandchildren.
The Pantry/Warehouse is open most Mondays and Saturdays from 10:00 - Noon.
We also help to host the pop-up pantries currently being held twice a month at several locations in the county.
The Pantry/Warehouse is located at:
2901 Long Lake Rd; Nashville Indiana (not a mailing address).
The pop-up location rotates between several sites including the Brown County Y, Parkview Church, Sprunica Elementary, Unity Baptist Church and Van Buren Elementary.

We are grateful to our community partners such as the St. Agnes Catholic Church and parishioners who compose our core group of volunteers.
