St. Vincent de Paul (Brown County) is an all volunteer not-for-profit, dedicated to the service of local families since 1988. We were started by members of Saint Agnes Catholic Church as a conference under the Indianapolis Council of SVdP, a 501(c)(3) organization. During our 2022 fiscal year (Oct-Sep) at least 200 volunteers, from Brown County and beyond, gave a combined total of more than 12,000 hours of service.
Current Officers:
We distribute food in our "Client Choice Food Pantry" and also toiletries, clothing, housewares, appliances and furniture free of charge.
At pop-up pantries, folks drive up and receive prepackaged food items, quick and easy.
Our Back to School Program helps students prepare for the school year by giving out vouchers to purchase shoes and school supplies. We distribute Thanksgiving turkeys and Christmas hams. The Christmas Celebration helps with Christmas gifts for children and grandchildren.
The Pantry/Warehouse is open most Mondays and Saturdays from 10:00 - Noon.
We also help to host the pop-up pantries currently being held monthly at several locations in the county. The location changes each month. Click below for details.
The Pantry/Warehouse is located at:
2901 Long Lake Rd; Nashville Indiana (not a mailing address).
The pop-up location rotates between several sites including the Brown County Y, Parkview Church, Sprunica Elementary, Unity Baptist Church and Van Buren Elementary.
